Dr David Corbet is an educator, designer, writer and curator based in Australia. He has a PhD from the University of Sydney, and teaches at both postgraduate and undergraduate level, with a research focus on trans-disciplinary visual cultures and global exhibition practice. Previously he completed graduate studies at UNSW; Central St Martins College of Art and Design (University of the Arts), London; and the Australian Film Television and Radio School. He has creatively led many projects as a designer, editor and curator and spoken at associated conferences, workshops and symposia. He conducts extensive field research across Australia and southeast Asia; Latin America; Southern Africa and the Middle East, and has authored numerous articles about contemporary visual cultures, as well as editing and designing several books and exhibition catalogues.
