Tim Riley Walsh is a Naarm/Melbourne based curator and art historian. Tim is currently Curator in Residence, Gertrude Contemporary, Naarm/Melbourne; Australia Desk Editor for ArtAsiaPacific, Hong Kong; and a member of Kink, a working group of artists, academics, and arts professionals researching and developing a history of queer Australian art.
Tim has previously worked in gallery management, communications, and programming roles at Milani Gallery, Brisbane; Camden Arts Centre, London; and the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane. Recent projects include the exhibition and publication On Fire: Climate and Crisis (2021, Institute of Modern Art) and the volume Gordon Bennett: Selected Writings (2020, Power Publications and Griffith University Art Museum) with co-editor Angela Goddard. Tim is a previous contributor to Frieze, Art Monthly Australasia, Art + Australia, Eyeline, Apollo, OSMOS, Runway, and Artlink.
