Born in Seoul and lives in Canberra
Currently Independent scholar and writer
From 2004 to 2010, had been an academic member at the ANU School of Humanities (defunct in 2013)
From 1994 contributing critical articles and various reviews in Australian periodicals (such as Art Monthly Australasia, Art Asia Pacific Art and Object), and in Korean art magazines (Kongkan/Space, Misul sekye/Art World, Seoul Art Guide, article: a journal of contemporary art, art in culture, Art Now) and exhibition catalogues (e.g. Korean artists Park Seo Bo and Lee Kang So)
Also participated in, and given papers at, conferences in Australia, Japan, the USA, Singapore and Korea (including the AICA Congress in 1998 and 2000)
Initiated and organised exhibitions in Australia, Korea and Taiwan (e.g. Our Country, Our Art: Welcome to the Art of Contemporary Australian Aboriginal Artists, 2004, the POSCO Art Museum, Seoul)
